Ellipse IPL™
The Candela Nordlys Ellipse™ IPL procedure treats various skin concerns. Without damaging the skin, the light penetrates through the skin and is absorbed by the haemoglobin in dilated capillaries or the melanin of the pigmented lesion. The heat causes the lesion to fragment and the dilated capillaries to close. It also stimulates the formation of new collagen and elastin which in turn improves the appearance of fine lines and overall skin texture. The treatment can be performed on the face, neck, chest, hands, arms and back.

Your skin may appear red and you may experience mild warmth/tingling in the treated area for up to 24 hours.
The pigment in the treatment area will appear darker initially for about 5 to 7 days following your treatment. This is a normal effect of the treatment and should disappear shortly after.
Most patients need a course of 3 sessions, at intervals of 4 to 6 weeks.
After the course of treatments, it is then recommended to do 1 treatment a year for maintenance.
You can expect little or no downtime. There will be almost no visible evidence of your treatment. Immediately after the treatment, you will experience a mild warmth and tingling sensation along with some redness. This will subside after an hour or two. Makeup can also be applied immediately after your treatment.

Frax 1550
Frax 1550 is a non-ablative fractional treatment with SoftCool™ for comfort during treatment. This treatment targets unwanted hair follicles with short bursts of light resulting in permanently reducing unwanted hair. 6-12 treatments are recommended at 4 week intervals for optimum results. The results are impressive and clinically proven.

Many of our clients see a significant reduction in hair growth from the first treatment, however every one is different. We offer successful treatments to a vast range of skin types and hair colours but are unable to treat red, white or grey hair.
Laser hair removal targets the hair during the active growth phase. Due to the fact that hair grows in ‘cycles’, you may require between six to twelve treatments, timed 4-6 weeks apart to achieve the desired result. However, you will notice hair growth is finer and less even from the first treatment.
You will experience very little or no downtime, which means that there will be almost no visible evidence of your treatment. You may find the treatment uncomfortable, but not painful. Post-treatment your skin may be a little red, resembling a mild sunburn, but this should resolve within 12 hours.
- Avoid sun exposure during the course of treatments

- Do not wax or pluck hairs between treatments

You may feel slightly uncomfortable during the treatment however, our highly experienced therapists will apply a medical grade numbing cream prior to each session to ensure you feel comfortable.
There is always a small possibility of bruising and to reduce this risk, we advise you not to take anti-inflammatory pain-killers, St Johns Wort or Vitamin E supplements for at least a week prior to your treatment as these all increase your risk for bruising.
Following your treatment, your skin may appear slightly red, swollen and/or tight. This will subside within 24 hours. After your treatment, your therapist may apply a safe camouflage cover up to hide any redness and get you ready to return to your normal daily activities.
A course of 4 or more treatments every 4 to 6 weeks is recommended for optimal results. Once you have completed your initial course, you will benefit from having occasional maintenance treatments to maintain the results.

Following a superficial peel, you may experience mild redness which resolves within 48 hours.

Dermaplaning is typically recommended every 4 to 6 weeks. This timing allows your skin to complete its natural exfoliation cycle and ensures that the benefits of the treatment are maximized.
No, dermaplaning will not make your hair grow back thicker. The procedure removes the fine vellus hair, which typically grows back at its natural rate and texture. It does not affect the growth or texture of the hair follicles.
